LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® in 1 to 1 coaching

After collaboration with researchers and talented coaches around the world, we must admit:

LSP has a huge potential to go deeper in coaching and guidance.

Here is two reasons:

1. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® incorporates thinking breaks for the coach. From having to answer right after the coach asks a question, the person gets the opportunity to reflect more deeply. It provides greater security and more interesting reflections

2. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® promotes insight into systems and contexts. Coaching is sometimes criticized for simplifying too much. Without making the conversation heavy, the LEGO® models help to see relationships across phenomena and events.

These two dimensions and more, we will practice at this post training in regards to using LSP in 1 to 1 coaching. We will also reach other group themes in regards to using LSP for Positive Psychology.

Furthermore we will inspire each other, we are all facilitators from around the world and all have interesting experiences to share.

The training is for facilitators, coaches, leaders and consultants from all over the world, who already are certified in the use of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

So come along – join us now!

Build & Share Strength Exploration Workshop

The Build & Share Strength Exploration Workshop is an engaging and innovative way to explore the VIA Character Strengths in groups. LEGO® bricks are combined with an engaging introduction to character strengths, meaning at work, play theory and elements of narrative psychology. Upon building their strengths in LEGO® participants share stories of these strengths and interact with the models as a group.

This highly interactive workshop explores two topics.

The first is based on the science of happiness and relates to a corner stone of positive psychology, the study of well-being, optimal functioning and flourishing. It is the understanding of our character strengths and how the use of our strengths engages us at work and meetings. Today research is crystal clear, the use of our strengths provides a sustainable motivation that ignites the internal spark needed to sustain the transitions that todays world demand.

With an understanding of these concepts of happiness and well-being, participants will be able to design meetings and events or optimize there organization by leveraging these sources of energy and commitment.

Building & Sharing stories of strength

The second is more of method than a science. Build & Share is an innovative, experiential process designed to enhance innovation and business performance. Based on research that shows that this kind of hands-on, minds-on learning produces a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the world and its possibilities, Build & Share deepens the reflection process and supports an effective dialogue. This innovative, experimental process is designed to enhance meetings, events, workshops and seminars where a creative, innovative approach is needed.

Session outline

The session will start out with a highly engaging run through of the strength based approach to change. With creative tools in their hand – hereunder real LEGO® bricks, participants will have the opportunity to experience and explore concepts that have the potential to bring their own engagement as well as that of their teams, organisations, meetings or events to a next level.

Expect:

  • Introduction to positive psychology and signature strengths. How strengths engage and how they relate to meeting and event planning.
  • Practical methods to find your strengths with strength cards and a free online assessment
  • Introduction to Build & Share
  • Participant will build two models – one resembling one of their strengths and another symbolizing a goal they strive for.
  • In groups participants will explore how the method can be used in groups to creatively explore themes and scenarios.
